Graduate Student Travel Grants Available!
OVERVIEW:
All graduate students currently enrolled in a graduate degree program and planning to present a paper at the Global Souths conference are eligible to apply. Applications are given a blind review by the members of the Graduate Student Travel Grant committee and are evaluated on the following criteria: clarity, originality, and value in furthering the scholarship of the Global South. Proposals focusing on the intersections of the Deep South and the Global South will be given priority. Grants are for $250 dollars and are only awarded to students who are traveling to Louisiana to present.
Deadline for the Travel Funding Application: January 30th, 2022

Please e-mail your application materials to couri.johnson1@louisiana.edu. The Graduate Student Travel grant application deadline is January 30th, 2022 for the 2022 conference.
In the Email Header: Please indicate that you are applying for the travel grant by writing “Travel Grant Application” in the subject line, followed by a brief title of the paper (one to five words)
Please attach your CV and the following information as a Word or RTF document.
1. Name and Affiliation
2. Email contact
3. Title of paper and Brief Abstract (250-300 words)
4. A/V requirements: please indicate none or yes; if yes, please specify the equipment required.
5. Brief biography (60 word limit)
